Intro-

     He first described his idea for a futuristic transportation system, that would send passengers through tubes at a speed of 100 miles per hour from one place to other place.
     Elon Musk's version of the concept, first publicly  mentioned in 2012, to use reduced pressure tube, in which pressurized capsules ride on air bearing driven by Linear Induction motor             

Hyperloop concept


      Hyperloop is a proposed mode of passengers and freight transportation, first used to describe an open-source vactrain design released by a joint team from Tesla and SpaceX.  A hyperloop  is a sealed tube or a system of tubes through which a pod may travel free of air resistance or friction conveying people or object at a high speed while being very efficient.


Time saver

     The hyperloop alpha concept was published in August, 2013. Proposing and examine a route from Los Angles to San Francisco Bay Area. Hyperloop system would propel passengers along the 560 km (350 miles) route at a speed of 760 mph (1,200 km/h), allowing for a travel time of 35 minutes which is considerably faster than current Rail or Air travel time .

Cost efficient 

      Cost estimated for construction of  this Hyperloop project from Los Angles - San Francisco is around 6 billion US dollar and if extended in diameter it may cost around 7.5 billion US dollar. The company had decided  to provide Hyperloop trip for a cost of 20- US dollar per person.
