CHESS
Chess , it is an interesting strategy game. It is played between a two players on a chess board. It does bring out some different feelings while playing it. There are many advantages playing chess.
HISTORY OF CHESS:
Chess is derived from a Indian game "CHATURANGA". It has evolved during the age of 7 B.C. Chaturanga also acts as ancestor of eastern strategy games like xiangqi, janggi and shogi. chess also resembles a game of a war between two countries.
RULES OF CHESS:
Chess board has 64 squares 8*8 where it contains equal numbers of black and white squares. Those pieces which are used in board are named similair to the army force of ancient army.Those were ;
- King
- Queen
- Knight
- Rook
- Bishop
- Pawn
Movement of the pieces:
First one should know the simple movements of the chess pieces rightly and ready to move.Remember that all captures will take the position of their respective captures. No matter, whatever are its opportunities as chess pieces cannot make move than one capture at a time. But if there is a choice for more than one, it is wise to capture the powerful one.
PAWN
Pawn are said to be the weakest, but some intelligent to players know the importance of the pawn as a useful piece during the end of the game.A pawn can only move one square at one move and its first move can be one or two squares according to their player wish.
A pawn can be blocked by facing any other piece opposite to it and it can only capture the piece which are appearing opposite diagonal.
And here comes the major usage of pawn if a pawn moves to the enemy's last square it can be advanced to any other piece in the board except King or Pawn itself.
ROOK
Rook is the piece which can move only in horizontal or vertical direction of the board to occupy or capture the piece or vacant squares.
KNIGHT
Knight is a different piece in the board where it can move on its 'L' shape from once colored square to other square. It can Gallop over one place to other by jumping since it has a strange fashion.
BISHOP
The movements of the Bishop is diagonal. A bit stronger than the Pawns. It can move along the diagonal squares forward to backward. And it can only capture the piece on the same diagonal.
QUEEN
It is said as the most powerful piece on the board where it can combined move as Bishop as well as Rook. It can move horizontal and vertical and it can capture any pieces on its way.
KING
Alike the Pawn king can move in one square but in all directions. But when the King is totally captured and can't move in any directions its game over.....
